Even today there are countries that do not allow their people to be believers in Jesus Christ. Pray God will open closed doors and the Gospel can be spread in those countries. Just as Peter was set free from the chains in Acts 12, so will all the persecuted.
Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers across our nation. Today is a day to set aside our task list and work to celebrate hard working men and women. As we rest from our labor, take a moment to give thanks for all you have been given.
Pray for the League’s daily operations. Pray that we would, above all else, glorify God in all of our relationships, communications, systems, and processes. Ask for divine direction as we move forward.
As we begin our day, pray for those who do not have the freedom to worship, pray, or attend church. May God draw them closer than ever before, and His presence be more real today. Pray for protection from harm, and for more messengers willing to come alongside these believers.
Pray for League members who speak and present as we partner with churches and communities. Pray for endurance and boldness as they faithfully serve the League.
Pray for divine direction for our Development Team: Margaux Jordan and Rich Wilson. Pray that God would direct and lead our development strategies and processes.
Pray for Gospel presentations that The League has organized in Indonesia and India. Ask God to prepare open hearts and minds as others hear the Word of God in their own language.
Grandparents are irreplaceable. For some, the most fond memories are made with grandparents. May the wisdom and guidance of those older than us shape who we become. Praise God for grandfathers and grandmothers who bring joy and laughter to their grandchildren.
There are many statistics that back up the fact Christians are being attacked. We need to come together and pray for these people. Pray Christians will be protected in lands where they are scrutinized, pray for the strength and perseverance.
Praise God for Mike Brickley and Jim West as they faithfully serve The Pocket Testament League. Ask God to continue to bless and prosper all that they do.
Pray for League Members in Russian and Korean-speaking countries – that many will hear God’s Word and be receptive to NEW life in Christ. Pray for more opportunities to spread the Gospel in these areas.
Pray for the League’s mission to Read, Carry, and Share the Gospel. Pray for new members and financial partners! Ask God to increase our efforts in each area, and provide a renewed passion to complete the mission.
Praise God for The League translators who make it possible to share the Gospel in 19 languages. Pray for an increase in those who will be able to hear the Gospel because of the gift of translation!
Pray for wisdom and creative solutions for our technology team: Damon, Bates, and Dave. Ask that God would continue to bless our communication efforts as we attempt to reach more people through technology.
Pray for stewardship partners to help cover the sponsorship requests from our Members who are sharing Gospels daily. Praise God that He provides all that we need according to His riches in Christ.
Praise God for our partnership in China! Pray for God’s love and Word to continue to spread to many nations. Pray for a hunger and thirst for the Word in China and surrounding areas.
Pray for The League as our fiscal year comes to an end. Pray that our members will help fulfill our financial need. We must continue to provide God's Word to our members so that they may share the love of Jesus.
Pray for our international marketing as we spread the Gospel worldwide. Pray for continued blessings over our communications efforts and relationships worldwide.
Pray for a hedge of protection for the PTL staff and families as they faithfully serve to share the Gospel. Ask that God would provide supernaturally for all that is needed.
Pray for our Marketing and Membership team—Chris Taft, Kristin Martin, and Katie Davis—as they develop our Member communications. Pray for increased wisdom and favor as they develop ways to engage and connect through communication outlets.
The United Nations' International Day of Peace is celebrated each year to recognize the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace. As we celebrate with them today, may we be reminded of the peace we access as Christians. The Bible tells us that we are to always walk in peace, a peace that surpasses understanding. Rest in that peace today and always.
Pray for renewed minds today! Pray that believers would willingly share the HOPE they have in Christ. As the world grows darker, we have the opportunity to be LIGHT to people everywhere.
Pray for the Member Care team: Mollie, Donna, Lisa, Nikki, and Fumiko as they care for our members. Pray for each connection and relationship that they develop to be a blessing to each person.
Pray for our Partner Gospel program. Pray for new partners and Gospels to be developed, and ask that God would use partner Gospels to reach communities nationwide!
Pray for those who are presenting and sharing through League presentations. Pray for those attending, that God would increase partnerships through these connections and presentations!
Pray for favor for Charity Medina as she manages The League’s daily operations efforts. Pray for an abundance of inspiration and wisdom as she oversees the day to day functions of the League.
Praise God for the work in Hong Kong and Japan! Pray for God’s Word to come alive in His people and that a renewed hunger for the Word would be stirred in hearts.
National Neighbor Day was created to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of a good neighbor. It is a blessing to have a good neighbor, but it is even a greater thing to BE a good neighbor. Pray today, asking the Lord to show you how to love your neighbor as yourself. This may be a coworker, a family member, someone you bump into at the store. Keep an open mind about who you can treat with kindness today and each day!
Pray for the Gospels in French and Italian – that many people will understand the love of Christ! Pray for these communities to be drawn to an eternal hope and love that is found in the Gospel.
In some of the most dangerous places for Christians to live, believers have to live in fear of the unknown each day. As one body in Christ, let us pray for their protection today. May they have a sense of peace in spite of the unknown. May they have favor in their land, and a peace as they rest their heads at night.
Praise God for the work in Vietnam and Cambodia! Pray for God’s love to consume His people. Ask that God’s love would create a desire to share His Word with those who need to hear.
